Por qué es un doctor de primer nivel

Mr Rajagopalan Sriram is a highly respected consultant urological surgeon based in Coventry. He specialises in bladder cancer, haematuria (blood in the urine), urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence and benign prostatic diseases. He is also renowned for his expertise in vasectomy and vasectomy reversal.

Mr Sriram qualified in medicine from the University of Madras, India in 1984 before undertaking his Master’s in surgery. In 1990, he was awarded with fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons and later in 1994 completed a diploma in urology at the University of London. Following this, Mr Sriram completed further specialist training on the west Midlands urology training programme. He was awarded the specialist fellowship in urology at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000. He obtained the highest score in the European Board of Urology examination in 2001. With his many year’s work as a consultant urological surgeon, Mr Sriram has a wealth of experience and expertise in treating urological problems and has been recognised with several Clinical Excellence awards. He retired from NHS Service from the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in 2022. He sees private patients at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry.

Mr Sriram has held a number of senior positions throughout his esteemed career. He was the clinical lead for urology and also the lead clinician for bladder cancer and continence services at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and The Meriden Hospital. He is a regular speaker and presenter at key conferences in the field of urology and is a member of many professional bodies, including the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the European Association of Urologists.

Mr Sriram maintained several key responsibilities in education and was an honorary associate professor, clinical personal tutor and educational supervisor for medical students at the University of Warwick. He is also a CCrISP (Care of the critically ill surgical patient) trainer at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire and at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has also been involved in the training of a number of colleagues in performing specialist techniques in urology.

Professor John Gribben is a leading haematologist based in London. He currently sees patients at London Haematology which is based at The London Clinic. He specialises in haematological cancers including lymphomas, leukaemias and bone marrow transplantation. Professor John Gribben graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1980. He also trained in haematology at University College London and in medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School.

Professor Gribben remained on the faculty for 17 years before returning to the UK. He has written over 300 articles and chapters in peer-reviewed publications and is renowned for his new drugs and forms of cancer treatment. He has grant funding from The National Cancer Institute and Cancer Research UK for pioneering studies in lymphoma and leukaemia. He has sat on and chaired numerous international executive committees dedicated to investigating new methods of cancer care and many editorial boards for professional publications which are focused on cancer.He 

He has lectured across the world on new therapies for cancer treatment. In addition to his lectures, Professor Gribben has published more than 300 chapters and articles in peer-reviewed publications. He has also sat on and chaired several of the editorial boards for professional publications focused on cancer.

Dr Pick Ngor Woo is an experienced consultant dermatologist practising in Northampton. Dr Woo specialises in the treatment of skin cancer, skin surgery, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and skin rashes.
 
She graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1993 and completed dermatology training in Aberdeen, Manchester and Birmingham. She was appointed Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Lecturer at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 2004. Since 2007 she has been Consultant Dermatologist in Northampton General Hospital (NGH), and was clinical lead from 2008-2018. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Woo has practised dermatology since 1999 She treats most skin conditions both for children and adults. She is a consultant dermatologist at both BMI Three Shires Hospital and Northampton General Hospital.

She has been the lead investigator for clinical trials on psoriasis and eczema, and has conducted research on many other skin conditions and surgery. She has published numerous peer-reviewed research papers and regularly reviews articles for the British Medical Journal. In 2018 she was project lead on the development of community dermatology clinics on Northamptonshire, which remain an important part of skin care in the county. 

Dr Woo is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the British Society of Dermatological Surgery (BSDS), the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology (EADV), the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease (BSVVD) and other leading dermatology associations.

Mr Neil Bateman is a highly regarded consultant paediatric ENT surgeon based in Manchester who sees patients at BMI The Alexandra Hospital and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. He specialises in treating hearing loss, ear infections, glue ear, tonsilitis, obstructive sleep apnoea, and snoring. In addition, Mr Neil Bateman has a specialist interest in pinnaplasty/correction of prominent ears and ear reconstruction, as well as complex airway reconstruction. Mr Bateman has a particular interest in intracapsular tonsillectomy, which carries lower risks and quicker recovery than other techniques. Mr Bateman has been instrumental in the uptake of this method both within the UK and internationally. 

Mr Bateman graduated from Nottingham University Medical School and completed his ENT training in Nottingham and Sheffield. He decided to specialise in paediatric ENT and received extra training in Sheffield. He also undertook training during a sabbatical in Lyon, France.

Mr Bateman was previously the honorary secretary of the British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology and was the co-director of the paediatric emergency skills course for consultants for ENT-UK. In addition, Mr Bateman chairs Smith and Nephew’s ENT Coblation training courses.

He has also worked as the local principal investigator for four multicentre randomised controlled trials and holds an honorary clinical lecturer post at Queen Mary University of London.
